If you were offered that ideal job right now, today — would you be able to accept it? Would you be able to handle the responsibilities? Would you have the necessary skills, the knowledge, the contacts, the insight to succeed?

Would you be able to say yes to the opportunity of a lifetime, if it came along today? Opportunity, to be realized, takes more than willingness. It takes preparation. When you’re prepared for opportunity, it comes to you in abundance.

And there’s certainly nothing to be gained from a solution that merely masks or delays the problem without addressing the underlying cause. When there’s a problem in your life, get to work rooting out the core of that problem.

Facing a challenge requires effort, and yet that effort is necessary only for a relatively short time. Running from the challenge requires ever-increasing effort that has no end.

The sooner you start working through a problem, the more quickly you’ll have that problem behind you. The earlier you deal with the root cause of the problem, the more effective your efforts will be.

Truly eliminating the cause of the problem does indeed take more work than quickly fixing the symptoms. Yet once the difficult work is done to remove the problem, it’s gone for good.

Do the work to root out each problem at its core. And your efforts will bring lasting rewards.

If you’re not quite sure how you’ll proceed, go ahead and get started anyway. The way to work out the details is to jump into the work.

Each moment that flows quickly into your life will flow out again just as quickly. While you have it, you can transform that moment into a lasting accomplishment.

Make a little bit of progress, again and again. Soon, you will have created great value.

You can do it, because you are alive and aware and willing to get where you wish to go. Whatever your situation, whatever your circumstance, you can make something positive and valuable out of it.

Choose now to make progress, and allow a positive momentum to take hold. Feel the joy of being the immensely creative person you can surely be.

In what you do, whatever it is, do it with love and joy. Make each moment precious by appreciating the value that is surely there.

Give your best attitude and expectations to those around you. Brighten every place you go.

Life is filled with outstanding possibilities. In every situation there is great value.

Continually celebrate the good fortune of being alive and aware and able to make a difference. Go forward carrying the assumption that life is filled with goodness, and events will prove that assumption to be true.

Live with love and genuine appreciation for all that is around you. Give your own unique meaning to the abundance in which you’re immersed.

With love, see the true, magnificent value of what you have this day. With love, make it even greater.

One of my favorite stories is about the life of Sylvester Stallone as told by Tony Robbins, which I have attached in the video below. When ever times get tough I think about this story, and also I think about the people that have it worse then myself. At that point I can become grateful of what I do have and push forward. As the old passage goes “Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light”. In challenging times, take inventory of what you have, the knowledge you have, the burning desire that lies deep inside you, the ones in your life that believe in you and push forward. We all have it in us, life isn’t easy, it’s just a matter of how hard you are willing to fight for what you want. Life is short, truly be in it to LIVE it. The economic status of your life, our country, the world relies on one thing. That one thing is about reaching deep and pushing forward. Here are some things that most of us know, but do nothing about:

If you want to get more writing done, you should write more.

If you want to know anything, question EVERYTHING.

If you want to feel better, do the things that will make you feel better. Be true to yourself.

If you want to stand out, don’t do what everyone else is doing. Don’t blend, it is way to boring

If you want to be stronger, then do things that will make you strong. Let the superman or woman out from within.

If you want to be patient, practice patience.

If you want people to get to know you better, you need to make sure that you’re worth knowing.

If you want friends, be friendly. It all starts with a smile

If you want to lift heavier weights, put down the light ones.

If you want to watch less TV, turn off the TV. You have a remote, you don’t even have to get up.

If you want to lose weight, it’s best not to live in America, but it’s also possible to eat fewer hamburgers and move more.

If you want to change the world, then start by setting the example and create that ripple and start that change.

Want to take a million mile journey, then take the first step… It all starts with you.

If you feel like people take advantage of you, make sure you know the difference between turning the other cheek and being a doormat.

If you want to be trusted, don’t lie.

If you want to be a good listener, be quiet once in a while. I am still working on this one, but making progresss

If you want a better job, don’t work forever at a crappy one. Always go and get what your worth, settle for nothing less. Have a plan.

If you hate the path that has led you to this moment in your life, walk in a different direction.

If you want more money, save more and find a way to make more. Complaining pays poorly, unless you’re a pundit.

If you want to be humble, don’t spend time practicing arrogance.

If you want to be smarter, engage your mind and don’t be a mere spectator.

If you want to go somewhere, take the first step.

If you want to be confident, walk like you’re wearing a cape.

If you just want to be like most people, stick with wishful thinking.

It’s easy for most of us to pretend that there are things we can’t figure out.  But when we are truly honest with ourselves, we usually know the answers. We  just don’t always want to admit it.
