The power of positive thinking is stronger than the might of a thousand elephants. After all in a bout between physical strength and mental will, more often than not it is the latter that wins. 'We are a product of our own thought process, it is our thinking which makes us winners and losers, achievers and conquerors. So isn’t it about time that you fortified your mind against an onslaught of hate and negative thoughts?
Mind Power The mind is a terrific wonder! One can build almost anything one wants within its premises. Achievements in the tangible world start when one conquers the intangible realms of the mind. So if you want to be successful, start with your mind first. Visualize success in your mind. Enjoy its feel and comfort. See success in your mind’s eye, feel it, taste it and believe it to be YOURS, within your capacity, waiting to be achieved. It is important that we visualize success in our mind’s eye and start working towards it. Imagination is the most fertile ground where success is created and reared. We are after all, a product of our imagination. One step at a time Greatness, success, progress, call it what you may are a product of consistent hard work. Success cannot be achieved overnight. One has to continuously work towards it and record progress in small measures. Even an inch forward today is progress rather than procrastination in the hope of running a mile tomorrow. Greatness is not achieved in a sudden surge. Follow Nature, It does not accomplish things in a hurry, likewise our progress in life cannot be achieved in a sudden surge, we have to work towards it consistently! Success comes at a price It is desires that ultimately manifest themselves into our achievements. But for every mountain built the earth is scooped out from another place. Same is the case with success, if you want to be successful you must be ready to pay the price for it. Success does not come easy or on a platter, we have to strive hard to achieve it. And in the bargain we sometimes have to forfeit certain pleasures. Once again it is a question of priorities while setting goals. Obstacles can be easily overcome when we work to wean them out with might and focus. There is no power which can conquer the mind or its positive bent You can overcome odds What puts successful people at a higher plinth over the rest is their ability to continuously keep moving. Successful people are not daunted by failure. They might be unsuccessful at one go but that does not mean that they will not try again. Relentlessly pursuing a cherished goal helps us in achieving it. Persistence and patience are the key factors that help us surmount odds and overcome eventualities. You must never give up your chosen path for success. Success never comes easy to anyone, we all have to strive hard and only after repeated efforts will the endeavour bear fruit. Create success Success is like an eager guest knocking at your door, waiting to be let in. If you shut your door to the guest he is going to be disheartened and will try other options. Approaching success is an art, you need not over-stretch limited resources or try beyond your means to achieve success. Wisely using what you have is more than sufficient. What you are seeking to achieve in the outside world is actually present within you. You have nurtured and created it within your soul and self, it needs to be re-discovered. Positive thinking is one such resource which is well within your reach and should be used to be successful. Belief can work wonders The only limitations to our thoughts and actions are created and reared in the confines of the mind. It is the mind that dares to chart its way through the undiscovered and it is the mind yet again which is fearful of what lies beyond the known. Conquering the mind means overcoming fears and creating success. Make up your mind, make a firm resolve that you are going to succeed and you will achieve success. At birth there were no limits to your aspirations, so why should they set in once you have become a `thinking’ person. At all junctures in life we are offered more than one choice, there is nothing like being compelled to act in a particular manner. Capture your dreams and their essence and you will be able to live the life of your choice. Time Management There is no such thing like `I do not have time’. By claiming that one does not have enough time, one is actually stating that the available time has not been used prudently. There is always enough time provided it is used wisely. Using time wisely is all about setting priorities and deciding on what is important for you and what is not. Most of us waste our time in pursuing unimportant and trivial matters whereas we should be concentrating on important details. A major part of success lies in prioritizing and putting first things first. Addressing all those issues and concerns that require immediate attention rather than relegating them to the backburner can be a good way to economize on time and use it effectively. Get the knowledge edge What is the common trait which most successful people share? They are virtual knowledge banks in their chosen areas of specialty. Successful people are the ones who constantly keep on updating their knowledge, keep track of changes in their field and adapt themselves to those changes. Power does not come easy to us and neither did it to those who wield it now. Those who enjoy power worked for it and had an understanding of it. Knowledge is a door to access and opportunity and should be left open at all times. Failure is the road to success You cannot learn to walk without stumbling and falling at least once. There is no progress in stagnation. We have to strive hard to better our past records and not let failures daunt us. Failure is a part and parcel of the onward movement of life. But one should not get enmeshed in it, instead take the cue and better your mistakes. More the number of mistakes we make greater is our learning process. Mistakes are an indication of learning, the process becomes effective when we learn from our mistakes and do not repeat them. After all every defeat is a part of success. It is only people who try that fail, if one does not try the question of failure does not arise at all! One step at a time I once heard a beautiful hymn which asked the Lord to give me one day at a time, so that I could live it completely. If we were to really live one day at a time, ie in the present instead of unnecessarily dwelling in the past or worrying about the future we would be able to give the present its true worth. The present holds the key to success, which is within our reach only if we keep our senses alert to its calling. Have a clear idea about what your goals are and work towards them. Problems are opportunities in disguise, they are opportunities that bring out the best in us, they are opportunities that daunt and test our determination and resolution. Don’t let problems break you, break them into small parts and deal with each individually. Success – Now just go out and create it, we all have it in us.
